Therapy Groups and Workshops
Parenting Groups
Attachment-focused Therapy Group for mothers with infants and toddlers.
Would you like to learn to communicate and develop acceptance and understanding of your newborn baby?
And more about:
* The first relationships. Child egocentrism
* How to be a good mother
* How to start building trust between you and your baby
* Early emotional development of a healthy infant
* What the mental activity of the infant begins with
* The infant's ability to form connections with the outside world
Understanding and helping to develop the emotional world of the child is as important as understanding and helping him or her develop physical skills and the ability to learn. A child’s personality is plastic and extremely sensitive. Even if, as an adult, he forgets about his experiences in the first year of life, they will still reflect in his personality. You can be certain that he or she will be affected by restrictions of freedom of expression experienced in infant life, such as lack of love or tenderness. Parents can educate mechanically, according to strict rules and laws, or, alternatively, they can open before the child a friendly, loving and happy world.
This group is designed for mothers with children ages 0 to 5, and is limited to 6 participants. Pre-registration required.

Stop The Drama! Program Stop the Drama is designed to give young girls the opportunity to find healthy ways of dealing with their emotions before they create unhealthy coping skills. Young people turn to alcohol, drugs, food, and other excesses in an effort to help them cope with their emotions and numb their pain. The goal is to educate our youth before they begin to turn to these unhealthy behaviors. Stop the Drama will help your teenager: become aware of their emotions before they spiral out of control; learn how emotions can get in their way; create space between emotions and reactions; realize the influence that self-esteem has on their moods; discover how their mood influences interactions with others; create skills to get through a difficult moment; understand how thoughts and judgements influence moods; learn coping skills and be able to implement them before their moods spiral!

If you have enough health and money, you can travel, but for today’s boomer generation, that just may not be the answer. What is the answer? Or is there one? Mixed Gender Relational Group This is a group of 6-8 people who want to explore relationship patterns. One-on-one therapy limits your therapist from seeing how you really interact with others, and in most social situations, we just don’t tell each other about either strengths or liabilities. Consequently, we have difficulty figuring out what we are doing that promotes the same old unwanted outcomes with relationships. This group is designed to provide new awareness in an atmosphere of safety that will encourage risk taking and new behavior. Meets weekly for 90 minutes.
